We are looking for a proactive and experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to take the lead on a portfolio of audit assignments while also playing a key role in the preparation and review of financial statements and accounts. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, balancing audit with wider accounts responsibilities, and mentoring junior staff.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Supervise, support, and develop junior team members across audit and accounts work.
- Take responsibility for the preparation and review of year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards and identify areas for process improvement.
- Assist in other areas of the practice, including tax, bookkeeping, and client advisory, as needed.
- Maintain and build strong client relationships through clear communication and consistent delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with relevant practice experience.
- Proven experience leading audits and preparing statutory accounts.
- Confident in reviewing the work of junior staff and providing constructive feedback.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and audit standards.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and a proactive approach.

Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for your next challenge? We’re seeking a Payroll Manager to provide sabbatical cover for a 12-month fixed term period, starting in July/August 2025. You’ll be stepping into a key role within our team, managing a diverse and substantial portfolio of payroll and CIS clients.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of multiple payrolls and pension submissions for a large and varied client base.
- Manage all aspects of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) processing and reporting.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure ongoing compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Work closely with colleagues in finance, tax, and client support teams.
- Contribute to process improvements and maintain best-in-class payroll practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience managing a large portfolio of payroll and CIS clients.
- Proficiency with BrightPay and Xero software is essential.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
